I remember thinking I should try to find some odd date thing where Henry-Henry would theoretically sometimes appear in the sky, but realized it would be way too much math and organizing and really didn’t add more to the strip. Ever 13th full moon sounded pretty cool and was vague enough to work.
I remember playing this out in my head, it’s a dark gloomy day, raining, and two vultures stand huddled in a cave, hiding the from the evil vulture-plane which is haunting their world. Fun! :)
Ah, more strangeness. But the reality, i think most of us with good hearts, if given great power, would try (at least at first) to use it for what we thought was the good.
I wanted to really play with the cast of Little Dee here, by not only handling a somewhat gruesome ghost story (largely inspired by such early books as Frankenstein and Jeckyl & Hyde), but also by playing with themes such as the literary double and a narrator within a story.
Blake’s unaware deadpan in this strip still slays me. :)
SPX was a grand time. Ahhhh! And now I’m on the late bus back to my brother’s. Zoom! Blogging from the bus — so, a con report will have to wait until wednesday’s strip.
And I won’t be in Seattle for it, but the 17th is the annual “Pigs For Peace” walk at Greenlake, and my sweetie Beth is walking, so please donate, and know a donation for her walking is like for me walking (only I’m only there in spirit). They’re an organization who takes care of potbelly pigs (among other animals) who were pets and were poorly treated or not wanted, and so now they have a good home.
