		<description>I made a beeline for the models. I put together about a zillion models as a kid. Mostly aircraft. From Sopwith Camels to the R/A-5 Vigilante to the SR-71/A-12 to the X-15 (the best thing back then). Then the Space program models: Mercury, Gemini, Apollo. I had the early lifting body shapes that were proving grounds for the Shuttle, such as the ROBO and the X-20A Dyna-Soar. Dad got me some fast-setting (5 minutes) industrial adhesives that wouldn&#039;t make you high as a kite. He worked for North American Aviation on the R/A5 Vigilante and the X-15, then onto the Moonshot program.</description>
