I put together about a zillion models as a kid. Mostly aircraft. From Sopwith Camels to the R/A-5 Vigilante to the SR-71/A-12 to the X-15 (the best thing back then). Then the Space program models: Mercury, Gemini, Apollo. I had the early lifting body shapes that were proving grounds for the Shuttle, such as the ROBO and the X-20A Dyna-Soar. Dad got me some fast-setting (5 minutes) industrial adhesives that wouldn't make you high as a kite.
