The being able to write as well as understand english, well... you kinda have to make a leap of faith. And a big part of the strip is walking down the lane of your childhood, where missing posters and messages in bottles are the ONLY way to do things.</description>

I thought when he walked around in a suit it was just so people wouldn&#039;t notice that he was a bear and would thus more or less ignore him. If he can have conversations with humans, doesn&#039;t that sort of beg the question of why he doesn&#039;t just REPORT Dee as a missing child to the police, or whoever, instead of relying on homemade &quot;missing&quot; posters and messages in bottles? For that matter, why don&#039;t other animals in the Little Dee universe speak to humans about not wanting to be kept in zoos, raised for food, and so on?
