To me the timing enhances the feeling that Dee is energetic. She’s constantly one step ahead of the calm Ted.

I love this one. Dee makes her point so very well without words. The timing may appear odd at first glance, but it only takes a moment to realize what’s really going on, and then the dig on Vachel at the end is kind of priceless.

@Rosie, you’ve hit it on the head. If I ever was going to have her speak, it would probably be words, but part of the magic of the strip is her silent innocence. :)

Your comic is very enjoyable I look forward to it everyday. Have you ever thought about having Dee learn sign language? I know she can hear, but learning some sign would allow her to communicate. Of course I understand that part of the humor and childish innocence of the character comes from her inability to speak, so that may defeat the purpose to have her learn a language. :)
