From a distance it would have been obvious: he's asleep. The OD walked up behind him, tapped him on the shoulder to wake him up. Without missing a beat, as he came to he whispered 'Shh, I'm watching them: don't make any noise.' The OD didn't buy it. But it was a good try from the sub-conscious.
