This info is very lame, but anyway: While people from Argentina drink “gaseosa”, and others drink “soda”, we chileans drink “bebida” literally, “drink”.

BTW, maybe you have not noticed it, but Vachel and the Pudu loos very alike the Condor and Huemul of the chilean Coat of Arms. Even more fun for me!

When we lived in So. Boston, the locals called it ‘TONIC’, which was _really_ confusing until the adults sorted it out for me. But then, I arrived (in fifth grade) with four years in the Ozarks, so ‘tonic’ was the least of my challenges… Lotsa time in the library that year.

Never mind espresso…I’d love to see the Pudu on Red Bull. ;) I haven’t tried it – the coffee that’s currently next to me is more than enough – but I’ve heard Red Bull is rather, well, potent!

On the other hand, the Rule of Funny would make him say "Pop" anyway (I really can't see panel 3 being as funny or adorable with him saying "Soda! Soda! Soda!")
