K&K is far from my favourite strip (it goes for the cheap gag rather too often for my taste), but it's been going since 1995 and has racked up over 5000 strips so is worth of note.

I said that was an OPTION in an anthropomorphic strip, IF they’re seen eating meat.

There are so many webcomics I doubt that anyone’s read them all, and no one’s made K&K sound like one I’d want to read anyway. :-/

Well, as a scavenger, Vachel eats animals that are *already* dead. That’s creepy, I suppose, but even Ted is “okay” with it. http://www.littledee.net/?p=87 I’m thinking of something else…

Strips where the talking animals are FULLY anthropomorphized — wear clothes, hold jobs, own houses, etc. — have the option of ignoring the issue (and if they’re seen eating meat, well, maybe it grows on trees like in the Land of Oz OSLT). But you’re right, usually best not to think about it too much.

@ronald, this is a basic problem with strips with talking animals, some of whom are carnivores. The implications of, for example, many Kevin and Kell storylines can be quite horrifying if thought about too much.

This reminds me of a storyline (which will presumably be re-shown eventually) wherein IIRC Vachel’s attempted treatment of fellow talking animals — “fellow people,” one would presume — qualified him as a psychopath somewhere between Dr. Lecter and Dr. Mengele…
