		<description>The other aspect to it is that it acts as a sound baffle. So it&#039;s not just that you can (just) hear snow falling, it&#039;s that it also makes everything else sound slightly different.</description>

I have &quot;artillery ears&quot; from an adult life in the military, yet I can still hear the sound of snow falling when it is a heavy snow coming down fast. There was a movie, once, where they recorded the sound of a heavy snowfall and used it in the movie for their fake snowfall. Can&#039;t remember the name of flick, tho.</description>

		<description>Falling snow does indeed make a sound!  Although a few times I&#039;ve had people (with perfectly adequate hearing)  insist it doesn&#039;t.  My working hypothesis is that one must a &quot;quiet mind&quot; that is able to allow the sound to come in.</description>
