In 'Nam (USMC), we had a young chopper pilot who once hit the ONLY TREE in an entire square kilometer. Naturally, he was nicknamed George of the Jungle on the spot. He had a guy who was a pretty good artist draw him up nose art and he put it on his chopper and the door of his hut, too. Actually, he was a pretty good pilot and the VC came to fear his LOCH with the minigun and the funny, Tarzan-looking man on the side. He survived the war. His chopper was christened "Shep", his copilot was renamed "Ape" and his GF back home was called Fella (she was a knockout blond, not a redhead). When he told her about it all in a letter, she sent back a pic (which I wish I had a copy of) wearing a red wig and a very scanty leopardskin outfit, to further increase the resemblance.
