He just sort of rode the moment a little harder than most others would. I won't comment on the obvious bizarreness of the idea that a vulture could be sentenced to prison, much less called before a parole board. Prison seems an overly "advanced" concept for animals to bother imitating, and even if Vachel was once caged by humans, they certainly wouldn't have done him the courtesy of a parole hearing.
