Well, vultures are *scavengers*, not killers. There’s a difference.

Of course, as a comic strip vulture, Vachel engages in LOTS of non-vulture behavior, but “seriously,” if all of the animals in the Deeiverse can talk and interact with each other as more or less equals, there’s no real difference between killing a fish and killing, for instance, Kendra the cute bunny.

Even *wanting* to kill and eat a fish is, technically, no different than an animal *wanting* to kill and eat Dee, which is, as the strip has made clear several times, entirely unacceptable.

But I’m thinking about it way too much, so I’ll drop the subject. :-)

So, if the fish were killed in the road, that means he threw them — LIVING TALKING FISH — into traffic? He stood there and watched them get crushed under tires one after the other?
