The second book in the series actually takes them to the "supposedly" lost Library of Alexandria, where you can only check out one book -- and it costs you your soul. Brandon Sanderson stopped writing them to work on the Wheel of Time series, but he says he's going to finish the series at some point. @Muzhik, ha ha. I work at Provo Library, and we recommend that series to kids all the time.
