When my grandson was learning to walk he climbed up on the sofa and then jumped up and down and tried to jump off the edge onto the floor. Even though I was in a leg cast at the time (had surgery to repair an old wound), when I saw him I made it across the room and caught him in mid air. Still dunno how I got over there so fast as I was in a hip-to-ankle cast. I can empathize with Ted. I tell them that if my Grandma ever heard I was disrespectful to someone, she would rise up and strike me down. The fact that she's been dead some 30-odd years? There are some things that just aren't worth the risk.
