As a retired, career infantryman, I have spent entirely too much time snuggled up to Mother Earth to see it as entertaining. Now I consider I’m “roughing it” if I don’t have HDTV and a portable Dish feed. When I do go off grid these days, it’s in a camper trailer with a stove, HDTV and a portable Dish, a BED, etc. Campfires are for singing, ghost stories and making s’mores or hot dogs – period.

Sometimes a man (or a bear, or possibly even a vulture) needs to see nature from a new angle. Take a hike along the wild side, if you will. Just so that he may have a greater appreciation for the amenities which fill his cave.
