Here at the NJ Shore, it seems that their migration instinct has left them - apparently corporate parks and golf courses have provided them with such a friendly environment of available water and no predators that they just choose to stay...and if there are no corporate parks or golf courses nearby they'll feed on any lawn they can find, leaving behind bald patches and lots of poop. :( Talk about a hazard...not just for the golf courses, but for private homes and public places like recreational parks!
