Oh, I dunno, helicopter parents do a lot of stalking, especially online. I grew up when my parents couldn't call or text me when I went out with friends or on a date. Being out of contact was out of their control and I learned and grew. Now my grandson is in his freshman year of college and his mom can text him every day, several times per day, no matter where he is. He could even be tracked by his cell phone and which towers it triangulates from when he's out. Since his parents still pay for his cell phone they could do that if they wished.
