Blake was ready to fight the gator to the death to defend his "pack" until the gator fell in love with Blake. Surely he wanted to stomp Vachel just a bit now and then. Ted got to implant Vachel in a stone wall and Dee has foiled and discomfited him many times. I guess that once a straight man, always a straight man, eh?
