The quiet understated message in this strip completely tickles me: that if I have 7 pieces of cake, I get insanely silly, abrupt, and fork stabbing in what i think is humor in the moment. There is a bit of that gleam in her eye.
One thing which was great in creating “Little Dee” was that I simply LOVED Blake’s energy and enthusiasm, and NEVER got tired of writing it.
A small child (Quinn!) in my community told this joke. For some reason at the moment I found it hilariously funny.
Looking back, I have no idea why. but I’m glad I memorialized it.
I also still love how tree seeds fall like helicopters.

Intellectually, i agree with Ted, but sometimes I quietly, simply, believe in Vachel.

I think one can learn a lot of good from movies, but also a lot of values from movies are dumb or have only limited application.

I did feel a little bad for this strip, so I decided to truly knock myself down for it.
This is one of those strips which was a singular inspiration, which hit it’s mark and then ran with it. It should be saccharine sweet, but it simply works.
Also, my housemate bought it, and so I got to look at it over the sink for a year or so before I left Olympia. :)
