Speaking of “Rogues of Wool;” The tune was stuck in my head the other day, and it took me a moment to remember what it was from.
Yes, it comes upon me in odd, quiet hours as well. Softly, as if on cat’s paws, it sneaks up on my subconscious, slowly moving into the conscious mind, and pretty soon I am humming it without knowing I am doing so. Then I realize I am doing so and cannot remember the words to the melody and it tasks me for a day or two until I finally remember.
Funny, really and not at all annoying. Not at all like The Name Game; “Sherry-sherry bo berry bonana-rama fo-ferry, fe fi fo mary, Sherry”. That can make you crazy.
I will pass on the praise to my brother, the melody-maker in the ordeal. :)
Yay for the Vachel Knitting “thread”! I still cheerfully carry knit/crochet projects in my Rogues of Wool Bag :D
@ Christopher: Actually, that’s not far off from how I hear Vachel in my head. I’ve always imagined him being voiced by Steve Buscemi. (Of course, Ted is voiced by John Goodman. Blake is a bit harder. He’d be voiced by someone who usually plays to the Clueless-yet-Endearing trope, but no names pop out at the moment. Any suggestions?)
Any chance we could download a copy for our iPods?
