The ones that would worry me are the moving stacks, with a big wheel on the end, so they can compress out the aisles until needed. Or electric motors with [] buttons. If you’re in there when they go wrong, you’d sure come out looking funny.
In earthquake country, I screwed 2×4s across the tops of our bookcases on either side of my computer table, and the rest to the wall studs and each other.
But whenever I go in Smart & Final, I look at the liquor shelves and see One Expensive Earthquake when it happens.

If you’ve ever seen “The Mummy” (1999) there’s a wonderful depiction of just that. The librarian’s ultimate nightmare.
As a Librarian I can tell you, it is a mess when it happens. Depending on the type of shelves and if they are braced from above, it does goes down as one would expect.
