Getting licenses, library cards, all those things. Making sure you have all your documents with you can be maddening.
At least Pudu never becomes aware enough for his feelings to be hurt. At least not for more than a panel or two.
Were this still a continuing strip, I think it would nicely ironic if, every now and then, Blake or Ted or even Dee stopped Sachel from sending Pudu off on the errand du jour, then got so irritated by his hyperkinetic perkiness that they did it themselves. ;-)
Wouldn’t it be great to have a pudu (real-world, not a hyperbabbling one) as a pet? You’re chatting with somebody in your living room and then, totally without context, a little deer trots past…and you don’t react at all.
If Wikipedia can be believed, Pudus can bark AND climb trees, so it’d be kind of like having a dog AND a cat. Kind of.
Check it out. SO cute.
They’re apparently susceptible to “bladder worms, lungworms, roundworms, and heartworms,” though, so there’d be a lot of upkeep. Kind of makes you wonder how they survive in the wild even as well as they do (not only hunted but “overhunted,” real CLASSY, South America…).
I’d love to see Pudu show up and meet a certain Anpan…
I bet you can’t housetrain them. Most DLA’s (Deer-Like Animals) just dribble little poo pellets everywhere..
But I agree it would be super cute!
He trollops off so happily, too, to get the mail.
I do not think that word means what you think it means …
