So far as I know, the record time for getting coals from unlit to ready to cook is still 0.6 seconds, thanks to liquid oxygen. Unfortunately in the process the grill was reduced to a glowing silvery circle of molten aluminum, but hey. That’s progress.

And he warns you that if you do the liquid oxygen wrong, you get the awesome kaboom. You light a healthy twist of paper in the charcoal before pouring a pan full of LOX on the end of your 10 foot pole.
