it’s good to have some rational people around when someone is yelling shark. Or do I mean “irrational people”? Hrm.
It’s annoying when the boy who cries wolf is right, isn’t it.
One of the wonderful things about writing the world of Little Dee is that I could pull of such absurdity sweetly and almost seamlessly.
I remember various kinds of floatation devices from my childhood, and often they had this danger.
I have very vivid memories of our family dog hiding on July 4th. It was always rather sad.
I’ve always equated fireworks with war, not sure why. Writing this strip was a fun twist on that thought for me.
Which is why, of course, that motivation is so important.
Then, of course, what I’ve also learned, for some people: so is the rampage.
I was babysitting some kids in the mud, and it totally inspired this. And yes, this is exactly what they did. :)
I like the idea that an umbrella, which protects from water, can also be a boat, to float on water. Like keeping rain from falling up.
I may have tried too hard to make this one work. Ha! Still cracks me up. :)
