I have no idea why, but it cracked me up that she’d only be able to paint half-way up the wall.
Another fun juxtaposition, it amused me when I thought “oh yeah, there would be green stuff GROWING in the cave. Funny.” :)

This must be the week i was seeing into the heart of each character. I mean, that is SO kind and totally smooth of Ted (despite his mistake).
This thought makes me shudder. Writing a list of sad things you’d seen and done, and then having the list found. And I feel it is exactly the kind of soulful thing Blake would do.
I used to ponder this question. And although I think I know the answer, if you ask me, I’d have difficulty recalling it. “Blooorf” still seems like an affective tester-model though. ;-)
It’s fun playing with stereotypes like these, in this case how certain cheeses smell really rank, but then crossing that over with the animal world, where a vulture generally eats decaying flesh and therefore counts it as a positive attribute. It takes what could be a flat worn-out joke and makes it new. :)
I equate this strip to returning from a camping trip. Everything is dank and dirty and a wreck, which is the perfect moment for a little escapism. :)
Never trust a humorist. The moment they give you a sweet and fun resolution is the moment the rug gets pulled from under your feet. :)
