Sometimes when someone is so determined to crash and burn, it’s hard to chime in and stop them.
Hey, for animal lovers out there, in case you didn’t know, the shark industry has gotten way out of hand. And the shark fin trade in California represents about 85 percent of the total U.S. shark fin consumption. So, the California senate passed AB 376 will would BAN shark finning there IF Governor Brown signs it.
Gov. Brown OF CALIFORNIA will likely make his final decision on Wednesday, so if you want to help push this forward, there is something you can do:
CALL 916-445-2841, OPTION 1 for English, and OPTION 6 to reach a representative. PLEASE ASK GOV. BROWN TO VOTE YES ON AB 376 to BAN shark finning in California.
I always felt this strip read oddly, like it was out of sync in how Dee talked and then Ted reacted in the following panel… but, at the same time, I think that weird flow works well with the gag. Hm.
I know someone told me a story about a child they knew being too young to really appreciate leaf pressing, but I don’t remember who. But I thought it was a cute (and funny) sentiment and wanted to put it in the strip.
I remember thinking I should try to find some odd date thing where Henry-Henry would theoretically sometimes appear in the sky, but realized it would be way too much math and organizing and really didn’t add more to the strip. Ever 13th full moon sounded pretty cool and was vague enough to work.
