I have been very fortunate in that Brian Huisman (A friend of Don’s) leant a hand with Little Dee. It is now easier than EVER to browse Little Dee original Strips which are for sale. He built an entire archive of: ONLY STRIPS FOR SALE. He also helped rebuild the regular old archive, if you wish to see.
And now back to my regularly scheduled mianderings…….
Since I was already working on the stupidest premise, I decided to work with the stupidest solutions.
Although I like that Ted so casually assumes that Vachel’s lying.
Sometimes fun ideas come from the stupidest premises. If that is true, I definitely was aiming high.
I wonder how much this strip defines the characters. Determination, brawn, and brains. Limiting, but an okay basic go at it. :)
I have a rather wicked sense of humor when it comes to slapstick. I know slapstick is something you like or you don’t, and even if you do — there’s a wide variety of slapstick.
I like mine very wicked. The more wrong the better. BECAUSE it’s wrong.
And then there’s the fitting of it into the gentle world of Little Dee.
I think this sort of thing is largely based on personality, but Vachel is the sort who lets you know how he feels. Bottle it up, and the dam bursting will just be all the worse.
Ted’s like me, he can let things go. Brings things up when they feel important enough. Very New England perhaps. Hrm.
