I remember not being sure what to do with Dee in this strip, since she doesn’t talk, so she can’t say “Polo!” Ignoring the problem seemed the best solution. :)

I think of this when I buy things online, and some people hate an item and others love it.

it’s good to have some rational people around when someone is yelling shark. Or do I mean “irrational people”? Hrm.

The awesome thing for me about this strip, is knowing that Blake did that out of pure selfless love.

Often (I find) there is nothing that snobbery dislikes more than full acceptance.

This strip is a mix of things for me. I really enjoyed capturing the silent in-air shot of Ted, first of all. But the sentiment…. as an adult, I’ve felt, and perhaps (embarrassingly enough) even said words similar to Vachel’s. I get it. But I am also Ted, and feel the Vachels of the world need more Ted’s in these circumstances.

I have never been on a rope swing where someone didn’t say something along the lines of, “okay, make sure you get out past that light colored area, so you don’t hit the rocks.

They’re still madly fun and an adrenaline rush.
