Whenever I drive through the great plains, I wish for fresh produce. You’d think it’d be the place to find it, but it’s harder than you think if you’re not local and don’t know where to go.
It was fun trying to squeeze the history and a real feel of sushi into the strip, and make it feel natural. I had lots of fun drawing it too.
Mind you, I’ve only had vegetarian sushi (being a lifelong vegetarian, and now vegan), but if the fish has gone bad, respect for anyone trying to make use of it.
