I not only love that he used a paint-roller extender handle for his flagpole, but ALSO that it’s a carryover from last week when they were painting. :)

Hee. I was just reading through the book last night and laughed out loud at the paint roller flagpole, reading it that way it was obvious it was leftover from cave painting! :) I could picture Vachel stealing it to make sure he didn’t have to paint any more. Hee hee.
♥ the paint-roller! I love all the carry-overs that you do in your comic but my particular favorite will always be the one I bought from you… with the Overspilling Closet of Past References ^_^
So, wait, the hat and the flag presumably came out of nowhere like almost everything else in the cave but he had to BUY the eyepatch?
;-)
You guys are awesome. <3
I also like the way Christopher comments as though he is witnessing these events rather than one who has written the script.
Does the script has a life of its own?
@Arnab, Yes! And many writers will tell you the same thing. Once you’ve established the nature of a character, and put the character in situations, they will begin to react in ways appropriate to them even if it’s something you never would have thought of doing yourself.
It’s very surprising and wonderful. :)
