   I used to take my daughters when they were young, and all three of us would go out and pick wild berries. Of course, as many got eaten as got picked, especially with them, but we eventually filled our pails and brought them home to be made into exquisite jam, for the most part. We also made berry fizzes to drink, and had them over pancakes and on sundaes. But making jam was the best way to preserve them. Blackberries, mulberries, red and black raspberries, elderberries, blueberries, currants and gooseberries. All delicious. We grew strawberries in our garden as wild strawberries are quite small.
