This strip is ALL about the stewardesses line. Phew!
It was fun defining the roles (which they perhaps strayed from), of Blake interpreting what humans do or think, and Vachel filling there lives with useless or too-late information, which Ted tries to keep it all together. :)
Ted does lots of double takes concerning Dee. Quite funny. The way you were setting up the various character’s personalities was classic. Did you sort of have them mapped out beforehand, or did you develop them as you went along?
it was a somewhat loose plan. I actually did a month-long batch of the strip twice in the year preceding the strip’s release. A lot of each batch was abandoned, a lot wasn’t. But it meant I had a decent feel of the characters by the time I began it.
So yeah, I don’t think I had them very well mapped out at all, but I had developed a sense of who they were and seemed able to play that out pretty well. :)
