Ovation (noun): a victory procession less glorious than a triumph, awarded to a Roman general. Specifically, the cheers and rejoicings of the public as the the general and his men march past
Depends on how you measure the ratio of enthusiasm and general satisfaction of the audience to its size. If it’s a small child who really really loves the story, then I would probably take that over a full house of polite applause.
