This one may be me playing out some childhood heavy-machinery fantasies.
I’m pretty sure every boy (and many girls) who had Tonka Toys had their own dreams of some day operating machinery like that. The sandbox became the construction site. I bet my brother and I moved a couple tons of sand playing with those pretty-much-unbreakable things when we were young. In a way, I did get to play with heavy machinery in the service, as did my brother. Dozers, tanks, APC, artillery, other engineer equipment, portable bridges – and explosives, lots and lots of explosives!
I see Vachel doing something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24n77GgRtrw
@War_Pig, I have another friend in the army who said pretty much the same thing. Big machinery!
@SenseiKen, wow. Yeah, I could see Vachel doing something like that. For entertainment though, not because he “just snapped.” :)
Unfortunately, Tonka is now all plastic. I miss the nearly-indestructible versions
Where did Vachel find that so quickly?
