Sometimes when someone is so determined to crash and burn, it’s hard to chime in and stop them.
Hey, for animal lovers out there, in case you didn’t know, the shark industry has gotten way out of hand. And the shark fin trade in California represents about 85 percent of the total U.S. shark fin consumption. So, the California senate passed AB 376 will would BAN shark finning there IF Governor Brown signs it.
Gov. Brown OF CALIFORNIA will likely make his final decision on Wednesday, so if you want to help push this forward, there is something you can do:
CALL 916-445-2841, OPTION 1 for English, and OPTION 6 to reach a representative. PLEASE ASK GOV. BROWN TO VOTE YES ON AB 376 to BAN shark finning in California.

I don’t love sharks anymore than I love rattlesnakes. However, each is vital. Of course Jerry will sign it, he’s the poster boy for PETA or Flower Power or something.
However, all the ships have to do is go beyond the 3 mile limit which is all California, I believe, can exert control over and fin all they desire. Besides, the Chinese and Japanese are much more prolific at it than we are.
Anyway, I’ve had shark fin soup. Nothing to write home about. Ban its sale in California and that would be much more effective than an almost unenforceable, unilateral, state fishing ban.
If he was trying to do the same thing as yesterday again, I really don’t want to see how he ended up
Also, why on earth would anyone want just the shark fin?
And, where did you get that number?
Same reason people eat Bird’s Nest Soup. When you’re poor and starving, you’ll make a meal out of ANYTHING.
And if you can keep it down and it doesn’t kill you, then you make the NEXT one tasty…
