I have a strange love and appreciation for sandwiches. I find even the word to be poetic.
I suppose having Peanut Butter and Jelly almost every day of the first 30 years of my life may have had an influence there (true fact).

Mom always sent peanut butter and honey with us. You spread the peanut butter on one piece and the honey on the other piece of bread and let it soak in, becoming almost crystalline in a few minutes, then put the pieces together. It will NOT spoil, even in California in August (we lived in LA for 4 years) and is so much better than jelly, which liquefies in the heat. Plus, it wired us up for the teachers for after lunch classes. Tastes huigely awesome with chocolate milk from the cafeteria.
OMG. Now I know what I want for lunch!
I’ve never tried peanut butter and honey – looks like a good goal for my future culinary ventures! ;)
@ Jill: You’ve *never* had a peanut butter and honey sandwich?! You poor, deprived child! ;-) The only reason I don’t have them more often is that honey is so horribly expensive nowadays.
