I tried to think of the worst most impractical mundane prize one could find in a scavenger hunt. I think, in the end, it was an odd choice (but I like it).

A truck cap is a few hundred bucks so saving $12 isn’t much of a bargain.
I pictured Dee’s thoughts on the matter as disappointment not just at the coupon in the egg but at the low quality of the coupon.

I was fully expecting Vachel’s “Prize Eggs” to be regular birds’ eggs which he simply wanted for omelettes.
