I want to read “Big Boy” comics.
That said, this has happened to me a MILLION times while cleaning.
Can’t resist the siren call of … Big Boy Comics … ahhhhh…
This is why, when my husband goes into the basement to clear out the junk, I tell him to NOT LET ME SEE what he is throwing away. It’s just easier that way.
I don’t think I have ever had this NOT happen to me.
I freecycle lots of stuff, or leave it out front on our city’s spring and fall giveaway days. I imagine (and often see) people’s shining eyes when they pick up whatever-it-is. The stuff that is less gleamworthy goes to my favorite secondhand stores, with the quality varying according to how favorite they are. Savers gets the real rejects. Not much goes in the dumpster.
Having said that, whatever am I going to do with years worth of letters, short stories, reprints of fascinating net essays, and my old audio cassettes? Answer — scan, record, digitize and mulch.
