I was on a mountain with my friend Keylee and we had the kernel of this conversation, but about an apple core.
No parking lot was mentioned.
The winning argument: Think of how much other hikers will enjoy the peaches of a randomly planted peach tree!

My argument would have been that peach trees are of a delicate sort which need a ton of sun, so its chances of surviving to maturity (and not having its blossoms all eaten by deer) would be slim to nil. ;)

I side with Vachel on this one. I honestly think Ted may be overreacting a bit.
But then, I’m more of a banana person…
Peaches, an invasive species? That, I’ve got to see. Given the difficulties they’ve given me trying to keep them healthy and productive. ..
