When Teddy Ruxpin was huge, my girls each got a book and a tape where their names were in the story. They’d turn the pages along with Teddy as he read the story (the cassette tape), and when their names turned up, they were tickled pink, as they say.
I’ve been Bruno-Depressed lately and haven’t been up to commenting on the strips I like but I did want to let you know that this one really touches my not-so-inner child greatly. I constantly have to fight with my inner demons who would have me believe I need to be more like those adults who would find an idea like The Happiness Fairy hokey. It’s always very heart-warming to find I am not alone. ♥ to Ted and you, Christopher. Thank You.
I get far too much mail from the Stupid-Idea Fairy.
This reminds me of when my family and I went to Disneyworld – I was all of five years old, and Mom had surreptitiously told my name to the actress playing “Snow White.” When this woman said “Hi, Jill!” to me, I turned to my mother and said “Mom, Snow White knows my name!” My face must have looked much like Dee’s in this strip. :)
It is NOT a stupid idea if it makes the kid’s day.
