Even though I joke about this, when living in New England (wherabouts I just moved to again) the months of December, and then January and then on to February and a little of March were just killer. Dark dark, snow, cold, dark.
Why did I move back here again?

You moved back because there is nothing like New England anywhere else in the world. There are four whole seasons (okay, sometimes five). We have some of the best colors of autumnal foliage in the world. The cold and dark make you appreciate the light and warmth. The winter brings skiing, hot apple cider (and ginormous mugs of hot chocolate – I know you remember those), building snowmen, snowball fights, and, well, snow.
Welcome back!
Well, okay. There’s that. ;-)
You’re back in Massachusetts again? I still have those comics you did from the summer there in 2008; you didn’t seem miserable, but I thought once you made it back to Washington you’d never leave again. (Barring holidays and conventions, of course.)
Ha! I was there for the SUMMER (and a bit of autumn). Not miserable at all (although a bit hot and humid).
Yeah, I’m back. Actually in the lower Adirondack region of NY, but essentially back. For now. ;-)
And the joke I got out of this strip is that dogs and bears and vultures pretty much don’t use toilet paper!
Unless, of course, Vachel’s chagrin was motivated by the thought of dealing with Little Dee without toilet paper till spring…. ;D
Why did I move back here again?
For the penuche, of course. And maybe for the turtles. The ones made out of caramel and pecans, not the ones that go speeding across your garden.
@Harena, ha! That is a huge part of the joke. That and the extreme choices Blake views as potentials.
@Muzhik, fair enough. Although I’ve been eating mostly vegan for a year and a half, so both are largely out. :-/
