   The fireplace is always better. I am addicted to fireplaces. Give me a fireplace, a good book and an easy chair w/footstool and you can forget about me until mealtime. I read and I nap. Winter is great as it justifies the fire, the daylight is short and napping is to be encouraged. I have fallen asleep in January with a book and my sock feet being toasted nicely by a good fire, plus a small throw over my lap – and awoken 8 hours later when the fire dies down.
