This vein of “hypochondriac” humor has been mined by others, possibly most notable in “Three Men in a Boat (To Say Nothing of the Dog)” by Jerome K. Jerome. And no wonder, it’s fun to play with and so true if you begin reading about ailments!

To me, Dr Oz is about like Vachel, but Vachel was first. If Dr Oz was a real Dr, he’d be to busy seeing patients to have time to play around on TV. About like Dr Phil.
