Looking at cuts and such make me very queasy.
Cut down a triple layer cardboard box once with a sharp razor knife, and slipped. The sharp cardboard edge and first corrugated layer were like hitting a handsaw blade. You don’t laugh about paper cuts after that experience. Paper is tough, the Chinese actually made quilted armor with it that was quite effective at stopping arrows, unless it got wet.
@ Golux: And don’t forget the paper drop tanks that some Allied aircraft used during World War II.
