There’s always been something magical, to me, about a secret library.
“America’s Book of Secrets”?
Have you read Alcatraz vs The Evil Librarians?
@David, “Evil Librarians”? Please! The phrase itself is an oxymoron, like military intelligence. Librarians are the purest of the pure, the noblest of the nobles! (I know, having been one myself, in the way, way, long-ago.
@War_Pig, nope. Not like that whatsoever. I picture them full of fiction stories and benevolent autiobiographies to read. :)
@David, nope. But I just reserved it at the library!
Made me think of this comic: http://www.littlelevers.com/Angels/index.php?comic=0010
God! That was such a long time ago & my art has so improved.
@christopher, awesome. the premise is cool, even if it kind of loses its way. The second book in the series actually takes them to the “supposedly” lost Library of Alexandria, where you can only check out one book — and it costs you your soul. Brandon Sanderson stopped writing them to work on the Wheel of Time series, but he says he’s going to finish the series at some point.
@Muzhik, ha ha. I work at Provo Library, and we recommend that series to kids all the time. If we could figure out how to get actual dinosaurs in our basement, we’d probably host an Alcatraz night for the 5th book’s release.
