So Blake can read “some,” but Amanda can just, yes, read, while the domesticated lives-in-a-house Rusty can’t read at all. Amanda seems to be a stray, lacking even the kind of household that Blake has. Is the message that the more “civilized” you are, the less “sophisticated” you are? OSLT? ;-)
@Ronald, Of course! That’s why the new princess was so much happier on the farm before she married the prince and moved to the more “sophisticated” castle. (see the Prince in Disney’s “The Princess and The Frog”)
Maybe it means that, @Ronald, but perhaps then it might mean that ironically. Or maybe not. ;-)
A pet is any animal which hangs out with humans, right?
