Come on by the NEWW comic convention this weekend, in Easthampton, MA. I’ll be at the Topatoco table!
————————-
I did take the joke beyond the kernel of inspiration, but that “kernel” was actually inspired by my childhood…
Books: “Just let me finish this chapter!”
Games Outside: “Just one more game!”
Video Games: “just one more level!” or “But this is a high score!”
etc. etc. etc. etc.

Ha. When I was young, the closest thing we had to a video game was tic-tac-toe on a chalkboard.
Apparently, never come between Vachel and his piece of cake, either.
It’s a true fact… my kids say “Let me get to a stopping place!” (in a video game) and I say, “Just let me finish this row” (in my knitting and crocheting) and thus we communicate with each other ;D
And no, I’ve never threatened anyone directly with a knitting needle, but I do have a button that says, “I Knit So I Don’t Kill People” :D
That is such a cool button. I’m going to look for one for mom (substitute crochet)- she needs it.
Hee, thanks, I love it! I really need to get me a crochet one as well (the knit one was given to me) because I was a crocheter for 30 years before I re-learned how to knit! I still do both as each is required and they are marvelous
murder-prevention techniquestherapy. ^_^
