This strip is as much the joy of simply drawing it, as it is in homage of the many silent dances of Calvin & Hobbes, of Snoopy, and on and on.
It was also fun to draw all the legs.

And a very fine job you did, too. I like Dee’s fantasy enjoyment at playing ballerina. Pity that the reality of ballet is nothing at all like the fantasy.
This was one of my favourites when I first saw it. I’d say it’s definitely in the top 10 of all of the strips in the series.
Oh my gawd! Dee is so tiny!
That only makes this strip even better :)
This is one of my favorites of the Dee strips. :)
Thanks all! Today it’s the puffy jacket she’s wearing which is getting me. :)
Actually, this strip somewhat reminds me of Little Nemo, sans color, with all the adult legs being a sea of mysterious things that Dee has to navigate.
Love this, especially the forest of legs and how Dee dances around them. The contrast between her joy and the grey people walking to work.
