This strip is one of those which crosses a “weird” line. I find it kind of horrifying (and thus, weirdly or uncomfortably funny) that she is missing Ted and so she hugs a coat made from a dead bear. But to her, all she sees is that this is like Ted.
As a writer it is interesting to think from a child’s eye, without judgment or adult sensibilities.
Some things should be left to children because they are much too horrible for adults to think about

Did it occur to you at the time that this moment sorta makes her lost twice over?
@AThom, YES! I love that, and find it so true to life. So often I have broken the very thing I’m specifically aiming to keep from harm. Light bulbs, wine glasses, self-esteem, you name it. :)
