I think my favorite part of this strip is Vachel’s slow sink into the vase. He doesn’t climb in, or jump in, he just kinda sits in it and sinks down.

I don’t know why that has always amused me so much.

It is amusing, but the best part is the look on Dee’s face as she exits. Reminds me of Dom DeLuise as the elephant doctor in the movie; “Smokey & the Bandit 2″. When the door to the trailer holding him and the elephant is opened, Dom exits the trailer cursing in Italian and finishing with:

“I need air!”

I like the tiny little flies hovering around Vachel to indicate his special perfume.

This strip could pretty much just be panels 2 and 4 and I’d be pretty happy.
