I feel I’m pretty good at letting things go. But sometimes I’m torn. In today’s strip, part of me likes the wordy babble of Vachel in this particular case…. but part of me wants to edit out about 2/3 of the words. :)

I think his wordyness is a loverly contrast to his usual blunt nature :D
@Harena, yes indeed, until you take the time to decode just what it is that he’s saying. “We are not outnumbered; we are in a target-rich environment.”
Having said that, jigsaw puzzles is what I remember most about Thanksgiving and Christmas growing up. What with the older siblings coming back from college, we’d set up a card table and chairs in the living room just off the traffic path, and dump a puzzle on it . People would pass by, stop, and fit a piece before moving on, occasionally getting distracted enough to spend a couple of hours working on it and talking with other family members while doing it. Lottsa fun.
